“I am often struck by the generosity of our entrepreneurs and their management teams. Although they are, to a person, highly-driven and competitive, they also belong to a community of life-long learners and intelligent risk-takers and, when they recognize a fellow-traveler, are eager to share their experiences and wisdom. Sharing this vision, we are committed to a relationship rather than a transactional model of venture, reflected in our partnering with the same entrepreneurs through multiple start-ups.”

MORE ABOUT BOB
Favorite Book or Author: I don’t have a favorite, but I know I am most grateful to Albert Camus and The Stranger, which I repurposed for three different papers in college.
Favorite or Biggest Life Event: If my wife is reading this, it is definitely the day I met her in nursery school (she sized me up with one look and decided not to bother to talk to me until seventh grade). For everyone else, one of my favorite life events was running a two hundred mile relay race in Vermont with my extended family, including my parents and children.
Go-to Karaoke Song: Almost anything – how about Daniel by Elton John?
Favorite Place to Visit: The Gallatin Range in Montana, near Livingston. Big sky country, great hiking, great people.
A Bucket List Item: Hiking Bhutan, biking Alaska
If you weren’t in venture, what would you be doing? Struggling with feelings of envy. I suppose I would be in PE, where my career began.
